ok thanks for your time i no longer need the information. A KIND DEALER ON EBAY SENT ME A COPY OF THE INSTRUCTIONS BY POST. 4 FREE.... IT IS QUITE EASY THOUGH YOU JUST UNCLIP / UNSCREW THE GREEN PART OF THE CABLE AT THE JOINT ONCE IT IS FITTED. SO SIMPLE BUT SO HARD IF YA DONT KNOW.

THANKS Neil from sunny England i wish.

Cant honestly say i have fitted one on this model, but is it full auto or is their an adjuster on the back of the clutch pedal.??? look first.Ford escort one is a bit of a pig but easy when you have the knack same as a golf easy when you know how .Now golf cable comes with two plastic ties that hold auto adjuster together and you dont relaese them till the cable is fitted. Can you describe the set up then i might be able to help some more.American web site so a lot of models not listed here and the lingo take a bit as well ,i mean whos ever heard of pigs tails or fire wires.Well what else can you expect when they are not taught the queens english and dont drink tea, just waste it by throwing it in the sea.

Hi guys I have a 2005 peugeot 206. I have recently installed a new clutch. Everything was installed corectly and tightened accordingly. Once i put the gear box back on and turned on the car i cant get any...

sounds like the trust bearing has not been installed this fits on the fork in the clutch house that engages the clutch to release so gears can be changed, if its not locked in place it will not catch the clutch and is probably sitting in the bottom of the clutch housing.

Peugeot 206 year 2000

Common fault on the 206 you need to replace number 1 injector (the one at the timing belt end) what happens is water leaks in to it through the washer jet and gets in to the injector housing it to missfire. The injectors are available and do not need coding in.

Let me know if this helps

206 w reg fitted new clutch but now have no biting point so car will not pull away help

Hello, Who installed the clutch"? Were there a new pressure plate installed? Were there a new throw out bearing installed. Does this 1991 Peugeot 405 have hydraulic or mechanical clutch linkage?
There a couple of reason why the Peugeot wont move and engine is running and the transmission is in gear.

1.. Pressure plate is installed backwards.--Remove transmission and reinstall pressure plate in the correct orientation to the clutch. There is two ways to install it, but one way correctly.

2. Adjustment for the clutch linkage from the pedal in the driver compartment is adjusted to tight and not releasing the clutch to where the clutch pressure is on the pressure plate.

I hope this helps. GB....stewbison

1) CHECK THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE CLUTCH PEDAL, CHECK ITS FREE PLY.

2)ALSO THIS CAN HAPPEN IF ENGINE, GEAR BOX OR SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL IS LEAKING

3)PEUGEOT OFFERS A WARRANTY OF 1 YEAR FOR THE PARTS FITTED. EVENTHOUGH THE WEAR & TEAR PARTS ARE EXCLUDED, IF YOU HAVE FIXED GOT IT FIXED EARLIER WITH IN THE PEUGEOT NETWORK & IT REALLY IS THE DEFECT OF THE PART, YOU STILL HAVE A CHANCE.

How can I adjust my 1996 Peugeot 405 clutch cable

My 405 had a self adjusting clutch but the BX box fits and they were adjustable, take out the airfilter and pipes, grab the end of cable and pull hard, if it releases then it is a working self adjuster, if not look for the adjuster nut, some are fitter on a bell-crank near the starter (13mm) others are 10mm nuts on the end of the inner cable.
