There are many products out there - and they are all the same coagulant in differently labeled cans.

None of them will work for you. You need to do the head gasket repair now, instead of waiting for additional problems these additives will cause down the line.

Sometimes you can get the radiator goo to work in radiators, but in the high pressure and tem environment of an engine, no amount of GOO will hold up!!

It would be like trying to plug a hole in a dam with mud.

Have a compression test done on each cylinder. Possibly a blown headgasket or cracked head

What shpuld l do in the engine oil if there is coolant getting in one of my cylinders

If there is coolant getting into one of the cylinders you will probably have a failed head gasket.
Adding anything to the engine oil will not correct the head gasket problem.
As a temporary attempt at a fix, you can try adding an aluminized radiator sealant.
The permanent fix is to replace the head gasket.

All block sealers will work for MINOR seepage of head gaskets beyond that gasket replacement is suggested.

Change head gasket

You need to flush the cooling system if you are going to try a sealant. I have used ceramic sealer several times with mixed results. (about 50% of the time) I would not use steel seal. Unless you have a great deal of experience I would not recommend you try this repair. You need special tools to perform the repairs. High skill level+$ for special tools

I have a growing head gasket proplem, hole into the coolent and oil now, can I use the blue devil sealent to fix it?

when the water mixes with the oil , if you don't fix it right away , you can warp the head or crack the head or engine block.

I just bought a used 2000 cadi sts..it had a crack on the radiator and was leaking major coolant..so i ordered a new radiator..but in the mean time i bought a sealant to seal the crack temp and it...

put the new radiator in the car, forget about the sealant, that is for a temporary fix. You can buy sealants that can fix some head gaskets without taking the engine apart, you just have to follow the directions that come with the sealer to do it right the first time.make sure you refill with quality antifreeze after you get done.

BLOWN HEADGASKET- Gasket Sealers? I have heard that there are a few additives that work to fix a blown head gasket. Mechanics seem to like "BLUE DEVIL." One stated that he has used the product...

My personal experiences with gasket sealers for Head gaskets has been very poor due to the fact that it's difficult for the sealer to stick in the leak when there's so much combustion pressure trying to push the sealant out of the leak on one side and only about 17 psi of coolant pressure trying to keep it in from the other side. On both a 2.0L or a 2.4L engine I would suggest having the head removed and inspected and the gasket replaced....then your problem is fixed and done. Sealants may work for a while but I view them as a temporary band aid approach at best. If you have over 100,000 miles on the engine and haven't yet replaced the timing belt then it would be a good time to do that also as a worn timing belt can cause some pretty severe engine damage should it fail. Hope this helps and good luck!

How good is the head gasket repair sealant and how long does it last?

Good Evening, if you are talking about the Bars Leak Headgasket fix stuff that comes in a silver bottle I would say it is good. But the products have their limitations. And I would seriously recommend going by the instructions. What kind of car and what is it doing?
