No I would think a 20 year old van needs a drivers side window motor ,,Its the most used window in the Van, also a new window switch to control the motor
while attempting to opporate the window... bang a little on the doors interior panel in attempt to shake the power window motors brushes to enguage... This will allow you to at least raise the window to the weather until you replace the window regulator motor...
If the power to the illumination and the switches is out in the door, I would say it is a broken wire in the A-pillar to the door on the driver's side.
This is a Light Blue w/ Black stripe wire, it powers both the illumination and the windows themselves.
Hi! Yes its possible if manual you want it to be. Try this, If the cargo doors have separate fuse from the fuse box then just remove the fuse and it would work manually. If you wont find the door fuse then you should work on the door manually. Open the cargo door trimming and you will find a motor inside the door. The motor has a connector that leads to the lock. Remove the connector to cut the power supply to the motor and you'll be on manual now. Hope this helps and have a good one!
NO you prob need new window motors thats what it sounds like there like 30 bucks a piece at advance auto parts but that was last year for my blazer and it sounds like what had happened so try it or goto a garage and get them to do it, DEF TAKES A PROFESSIONAL TO INSTALL
if you hear the motor working, and the cable is fine. the trick is to apply a vinyl safe lubricant on the windows frame. (sides) you may even use a shampoo or a conditioner and keep on gliding it up and down with a little push hope this works. but it is best to dettatch the door sidings and check if the motor is working and the cables are oK
window on the driver side does not work. I did check the switch and it does work. I know that there are relays for the windows. I just need a diagram of the windows and i need a relay or where can i find it ?
