Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
It is most probably the crancase ventilator gizmo. Go to the Jeep dealer or other reputable mechanic to repair. I did and it cured the problem. It cost me about $120 and it was well worth it.

Have you actually had a fuel pressure test done on this Jeep? I had a 93 cherokee limited and i replaced the fuel pumpo but the new one was bad and it wasnt getting enough psi's
