loosing engine power? or electircal power ?

If loss of engine power your engine might need a checkup, might be a valve timing issue ( old problem with some audi models )

if you are loosing electircal power, you might need a new batery, or your alternator might not be working as it should.

run fault codes . Check for failed cat converter that has cracked and is blocking the exhaust system. Check turbo variable actuator for cracked vacuum hoses.

Losing power

losing power can be down to an air leak spray some carb cleaner over the air lines and manifold. depending on the type of cleaner it will do one of two things engine will speed up or it will cut out. that will mean you have a leak spray the engine when it is upto temp normal running. usually around 10 to 15 min. were ever it makes a change in engine that is were a problem is.

2000 audi a6 1.8t hesitation in acceleration

That sounds like that may be exactly what the problem is. I don't know which your particular vehicle uses, whether it be a MAF or MAP (basically same thing) but that sounds like the syptoms to me. You could try to clean your MAF with spray from the parts store 1st. MAF sensor cleaner. Might just fix you up that easily. good luck.

"Retriger airbag control unit"??? NOT! If the airbags are deployed in a 2000 Audi A4, the airbag control unit MUST be replaced. Pleases refer to 2000 Audi A4 service information for more details.

The epc light comes on the odd time, in my 2004 audi a3. I cannot find the manual. I am interested in knowing what it means?

I am having the same problem on my Audi A4 2004 FSI, lose power whilst driving at speed with the EPC light coming on. Looks like a design fault of some kind with Audi petrol engins, have read a few forums about this but no clear straight answer. Check the link below:

Audi tt is overheating but not losing fluid

if your rad is not blocked or leaking you could try and change your thermostat. a leaky rad (even if leak is unnoticed could be accompanied by a sweet smell in the cab when driving).
