Since you haven't specified the make of vehicle I have a link to give you several different Vehicles. You must be aware that not all transmissions take the same type of oil. The days of just using 90 Wt. oil is over. The newer transmission are made of different materials internally so it is important to check the vehicle manufacturer's recommendation. Here is the link.

They are tamperproof torx/star type. They take a torx bit with a hole in the middle of it.

I have a GMC 1994 Suburban with a coolant leak in the bottom of the engine, driver side, comming out of a round plug, that has wires going a plug on it. I have a picture I can email you...and just need...


If it's a round, cup shaped plug, about 2" or so... It's called a freeze out plug. These do corrode over time and leak. They are kind of a pain to replace, and I recommend using the correct tool to install the new one. (Freeze out plug installer tool.) These are meant to "pop" out if your coolant freezes so not to crack your engine block.

We have mitsubishi montero glx model. We want to change the transmission oil of same model. kindly tell us and show us the digram for same procedure.


Dont waste your time on just changing the transmission fluid. You will want to change the transmission filter or have it power flushed. Just draining and refilling will solve nothing if you are experiencing any problems with an automatic transmission. If you have a manual transmission there is a plug on the bottom of the transmission case remove the plug and drain the oil. Put the plug back in and on the left side of the case there is another filler plug. Remove that and fill with the appropriate oil type. Then put the plug back in and tighten to spec.

I would recommend the factory type spark plug,whatever that was

Where is the drain plug located on a Volvo 2000


There no tranny drain plug, you must drop the pan to change the fluid and filter. Standard fluid is fne. I believe Dextron3 but double check with the autoparts store (tell them you have a volvo) and they can lookup the correct type of ATF.

Can't find the oil plug and filter on my 2009 g3 wave?


Oil plug is on the bottom of the oil case (under the car). The plug takes a T45 star socket (available at auto parts store to fit a 3/8" drive). You may be tempted by the transmission plug on the driver's side of the car, this is NOT it. The oil plug is on the passenger side and drains straight DOWN. The plug is flat with the case so it is easy to overlook. Look for the round quarter sized circle with a star indentation that the T45 fits into. This is the oil plug. Most auto parts stores do NOT stock the filter (which has a no metal casing) so plan in advance to order one or two before you decide to change oil.

My 2001 dodge durango is overheating an leaking coolant from a round plug type thing in the corner on the passenger side near the windshield


What exactly is the "round plug type thing" near the firewall [passenger side]? Is it a sensor of some type? I, too, have a coolant leak here on my 2001 Durango; its tucked in rather tightly near the hood/firewall corner. My electric fan is not kicking on; vehicle overheated tonight. (4.7 liter)

Transmission problem


There are only a few connectors that need plugged in. The first one is the solenoid pack which has eight wires and a bolt that goes through the connector. then the range sensor which will be located by the shifter shaft, will have either round or flat spade like pins. The wiring is the same only difference is the connnector; you may need to get a matching plug if the new one doesn't match your vehicle's harness. Then there are two speed sensor plugs that are small simple push in plugs that have two wires each. You may or may not have a crank sensor to plug in, if you do it will plug in kind of on top of the bell housing more towards the firewall. That should be it.
