Thank you so much I will try this!!

Thank you again for your help...we actually went out and got ready to spray the WD-40 but this time prior to spraying the lens popped off easily. The only thing we can figure is when we first tried it was very cold outside.....this time it was alot warmer.

    Again Thank You

I'm assuming the lens has never previously been removed and may just be plain old stuck.

I appreciate your reluctance to force it so I suggest spraying around the seal or faceplate with a lubricant such as WD40 a few times and leave it a day or so to see if it dissolves any dirt that may be causing it to stick.

Good luck.

Replace stop light lens on nissan xterra 2005

remove the inner trim panels , or access the light from the inside of the vehicle . thru storage doors in the back of the vehicle, look for wingnuts made of plastic and unscrew them. some cases require you to take spare tires out of those storage units on the inside of the vehicle.
its also possible that if you raise the rear door, and look on the inside , righ by the light, sometimes there are retaining screws + THAT NEED TO BE REMOVED

High mount light replacement

It should have screws in the lens on the outside, or either if the lens is behind the glass, there should be a cover to remove inside the car. Either way, once either is removed the bulb is easily replaced.

Remeove rear combination tail light cover 2006 Nissan XTERRA

thode screws hold the lens or the light assembly? Allow for the whole tail light to come out and the bulb plug will be accessible. I never had the privilage. But how the lens fits will tell you. If the lens goes overthe edges, the whole unit comes out, lens is sealed. Good luck

No, like others said, there's an access plate under the rear seats. Most imports (Honda, Toyota, Nissan) have this access plate to get to the pump. Some domestics don't (90's Camaros etc)

I just changed out a tailight on my 2000 Nissan Xterra, so I assume it may be similar. You have to pop the plastic strip which runs across the back. There are pop rivits in it.

Parking lights nissan 2002 xterra

Open the back lift door. Inside next to the lights there are screws that need to be removed before you can get the whole parking light off. After you get the screws out, you will have to force the whole plastic light cover to get to the burn out light. Once you get the whole light out, replace the bulb and follow the process in reverse.
