All bulbs new but still dont blink on right blinker

I have a 1991 GMC sonoma. My tail light on the passenger side had gotten busted and got water inside. the bulbs blew so I bought all new bulbs but yet it still doesnt blink. just comes on and stays on. the bulbs in the front come on and stay on also. What can I do to fix this?? Is it some kind of relay or something?? if so where is it. Thanks

There is a blinker relay and I believe its on the fusebox.Look in your owners guide to be sure of the location. Also, recheck the bulbs that there in correctly.

The falsher unit on these vehicles is a thermal one therefore if the amunt of bulbs in the circuit is reduced then the flash rate is alot slower, remove rear bulb, clean up the bulb holder and the contact inside the holder.
Good luck Davelee

You have some burned out filaments. On dual filament bulbs the "blinkers" I am taking it to mean the turn signals. They are one filament. The "Flashing Caution lights, work on a relay circuit, which sends a larger amp current into the opposite filament then the turn signal. Check front & rear bulbs.

Drivers side tail light lighting up at night when head lights are on but break light not working on that side. passenger side not lighting up when head lights are on but break light working on that side....

You probably already know this, however the GMC 2002 Yukon Denali uses the Wagner 3157 (or equivalent) dual element bulb. The running light uses one element whereas the brake & blinker share the other element that burns brighter.

Check to ensure the correct bulbs are being used. Then check all wire harness connections. Since the blinkers function, then it sounds like the connections are good.

It really sounds like there is a bulb issue, so check that first, then let us know the results.

That's an issue with wiring somewhere alont the line. There has to be a short somewhere. Hopefully for you the short is from the new taillight assembly being installed and it would be relatively easy to get to. Hope it helps!
