Hello Sir.
remove the screws from the door pull strap, remove the screws behind it. there are 2 phillips screws in the lower part of the door kind of hidden in the clothe. ther are little slits in the clothe. kind of hard to find but they are there. pop off the window switch & bezel. there may be another screw behind it. the rest is a bunch of snaps that hold the panel on. careful pulling it off(you pull straight out starting at the bottom) . i warn you they tend to break!

Thank You For Using Fixya!

There is a screw near the mirror controls. Pop the gray covers off of the door handle, and remove those two screws. Lift up the arm rest on the door. There are 4 screws, 3 for the arm rest, and the 4th is the one that isn't spaced evenly. it is closest to the frame.

Unlock the door and screw off the metal cap of the lock.

Also, there are 2 screws that are hidden. take a flathead screwdriver and run it around the area by the trunk and fuel door buttons. it should be directly below the very first screw. The next screw is along the bottom of the door, about 1 inch. if you are having problems finding these screws, pull on the panel until the plastic screws come out. you should be able to get a idea of where they are by the resistance left.

There are a total of 5 screws.

How do i fix a door chime on a 97 lincoln town car

Your igntion swith not releasing and lock in OFF position causing it to give a signal to your door chime to remind you of keys still in the ignition. Check the ignition switch by playing around with the key still in it. Move the key from OFF to ON and back to OFF again.
Make sure the left door are open and remove the key from the ignition switch. Tried it a few time this may tell you the problems.

Need computer location in 2005 lincoln towncar

The code is on a paper label attached to a large plastic box containing several wiring harnesses behind the driver side door panel. Posts about it being on the trunk hinge arms, behind trunk panels, on computer module, behind the fuse box, and 'you have to go to the dealer' are incorrect for this series of Town Cars. After you remove the panel (you do not need to disconnect any wires), you will see the box up near the rear view mirror. An example code (3/4) (1/2) (5/6) (9/0) (1/2). If you press the keypad buttons in this order, left to right, the door locks will operate in the manner described in your opwner's manual.

Do a search on door panel removal to learn how to remove the panel. There are some good posts on this topic - some even have pictures.

Some local auto parts have replacement door/hinge pin-kits for Ford products. (If not order from your local Ford dealer) The pins may need heated with a torch and driven out with a long spline pin punch. You might want to get a mechanic to do this for you.

Remove drivers door panel on 1999 lincoln town car

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door

Change the lock actuator, or try spraying some lubicant on it, in which case you have to take off the inside door panel off to get at it, Should be somewhere near the top of the door. Not much room in there.

How to remove the inside left side front door

Snap out two door pull strap retaining screw covers. Remove screws.
Remove screws on front, rear and center of front door trim panel.
Using the Trim Pad Removing Tool or equivalent, pry the trim panel retaining clips from the door inner panel.
These are plastic so be careful you can use a pair of needle nose pliers if you don't have a trim tool.Just start at bottom of door panel and work your way around and up.
