Question about 2002 Audi A4
HI,I WOULD SUGGEST PUTTING IN A NEW BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AT THE BRAKE PEDAL,BE CAREFUL AS IT IS TRICKY TO FIT,BUT I AM SURE IT WILL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM,IF NOT LET ME KNOW.ANDY

HAS THE BATTERY BEEN DISCONNECTED AND THEN RECONNECTED, IF SO WILL GO OUT AGAIN AFTER DRIVING A SHORT DISTANCE..IF NOT GET BACK TO ME..IT WILL ALSO COME ON IF A FAULT SHOULD OCCUR IN THE ABS.THE ESP OPERATES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ABS..

This happened to my 2002 A4 1.8T with 5 Speed:
1. Sounds foolish, but have you pressed the ESP button???
2. I had to take mine to a mechanic, the scanner showed a code (don't remember it), and a sensor had to be changed, wasn't an expensive fix. Both times that this happened I had gone over a bump at high speed.
