When the car is exposed to the sun, my remote to lock or unlock the car doesn't work anymore. I have no problem in the winter. the circuits probably heat up. What can i do?

Thanks for the answer but it cannot be the keyless entry battery because i know the car receives the signal. the two side doors where the sun hits do not open but the other two do. Also, I can hear the car beeping and/or making a sound when pressing on the remote. I am positive that the keyless entry signal to the car is good and that it has something to do with heat.

Thanks but do you have any other suggestions?? Anybody else??

Try replacing the keyless entry battery and see if that helps... when the battery begins to wear it lessens the signal quality

I need to know how to program my universal keyless remote control to my gmc yukon

This is the procedure to reprogram your remote:

Press and hold the drivers side UNLOCK button.

Insert the key into the ignition, Turn ON, OFF. (do not start)

Repeat 2X. (3 times total)

Locks should cycle to indicate program mode.

Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK on the Remote to be programmed. (may take up to 30 seconds)

Locks should cycle to indicate successful programming.

Ignition ON to exit program mode.

If it still doesn't work after this you probably have a bad remote. Hope this helps.

Remote control won't lock/unlock doors, but will open the trunk. What;s wrong?

There is a fuse box under the right rear seat cushion behind the driver. In that box is a 10 amp mini fuse marked "TRUNK DR RELEASE". That is the fuse that powers your remote receiver. If that fuse is good, the receiver may have failed. To remove the seat cushion, pull the front of the cushion up and then forward.

My keyless remote doesn't work anymore to open my car doors an to set alarm, while walking away to or from vehicle...bought new battery for remote an it still doesn work...have to lock an unlock by hand...

before you spend too much money...try this.
On the inside of the keyless remotes, there are rubber buttons, those rubbers buttons are brushed with metal of some sort so that it reacts with the motherboard, when the remotes get older this metal wears try this, it worked for me...
I superglued foil paper to the back of the button (the parts that touches the motherboard when pressed) and replaced the batteries... it worked like a charm, I used an awl and a hammer to make perfectly round piece of foil and just glued it onto the back of the button... i'd try this first before spending any real money.

Key fob stopped working the door locks. I changed

the circuit boards on those factory remotes, sometime break where the battery is clipped in, check to make sure the solder is holding the clip properly and it is not loose, also they remote may need to be programmed to the vehcile with a scan tool, usually only found at GM, Also the rubber part of the remote on the inside where the pad touchs the circuit board, uses a small screwdriver and touch the exposed circuit, if the remote locks the doors, try putting in tiny peice of alumumn tape of the inside pad, the connectiveness of the rubber wears off. If not try above or dealer.

The auto door locks on my 1991 buick regal quit or only work intermittenly. I bought a new transmitter (hand unit) and replaced the relay under the dash. The dealer could only program the new hand piece to...

I had they same problem a few years back. Aging electronic circuits may be the issue here. That is what happened to cause the remote door feature to operate intermittently in my 1991 Buick Regal. Over time the heat of summer and the cold in winter stress solder joints on printed circuit boards. That stress can bring about what is known as cold solder joints.

I located the remote door receiver module behind the back seat under the cover that holds the Third Brake Light. Once removed from the car I opened the module up and inspected the printed circuit. Sure enough I saw the problem using a magnifying glass. Many of the solder points had cracks around connectors, resistors, capacitors to name a few. Resoldering each bad point sovled the intermittent operation. I hope this helps...
