If the radiator has air bubbles it usually indicates a blown head gasket. It sounds like it has blown between the cylinder and the water jacket, this will cause overheating and pressurizing of the cooling system without mixing of fluids. A garage can check this by putting a pressure gauge on the cooling system. It is advisable not to drive too far, as if it gets worse it can fill a bore with water which can Hydraulic on start up and do some serious damage ( bent conrods etc ). Waterpump issues are usually leaking seals or noisy bearings, it is unusual for them to stop pumping. If the Head gasket is blown it wont hurt to replace the waterpump while the engine is in bits.
Coolant from the car's cooling system will generally escape into the oil passages (and into the cylinders) under pressure when you have a blown head gasket on your engine. You will also notice that you will need to be topping up the coolant level.
This is not a reliable model and the head gaskets on these engines are prone to failure if the cooling system is not completely flushed out and new coolant added at least every 2 years. The head gaskets will also blow if the car has been operated when the engine is overheated - such as when overheating is caused by allowing the coolant level to drop too low.
In your case the symptoms you have described do point to a blown head gasket. If you inspect the coolant in your cooling system when it is cold you will probably also see evidence of oil in the coolant fluid.
You need to get the car to a reputable audi specialist, who is familiar with the problems with these engines, to check it out for you. If you have a blown head gasket, as it appears, the repair costs will be quite expensive as are most mechanical repairs on German cars.
Sounds like blown head gasket (or worse) still to me.
Remove oil filler cap and look for grey oil.
Never use water these days but special coolant. Water makes vapour spots and cause block cracks, worse then blown gaskets!!!
vapour does not cool very well.
Look like you have cracks already.
Take a compression test if possible. But might not show op at that temperature.
The gauge indication troubles me.
That is not true oil and water being mixed can come from many different places. Such as a bad radiator which would cause transmission oil to mix with the water also alot of audi's have a water cooled oil cooler which are a very common cause of oil being mixed with with water. These type of oil coolers are located under you oil filter. They have water lines hooked to them which cools the oil and when they go bad the water and oil will mix. So dont be convinced that its your head gaskets it could be but not as likely. You can pressure test your oil cooler to see if this is the problem just romove it an plug one off the inlet or with rubber plug which can be purchased at you local hardware store (I found mine at ace hardware in there specialty drawers where they have all there bolts) then attach a air hose to the other outlet pressureize the system and place it in a bucket of water. this should tell you if the oil cooler is bad but be careful not to ove3r pressureize the cooler this could damage it and caust it to leak. 15 to 30 psi should be plenty.
Before you replace the pump, check the filter located inside the oil tank. This filter cleans the oil before going to pump. REMEMBER that Audi uses a special oil!!! Not your normal power steering fluid! Mixing them could cause damage to the entire system!
