88 FOD VAN RUNS FOR 30 MINUTES AND THEN IT SHUTS DOWN

IT'S AN 88 E-150 FUEL PUMPS AND FUEL FILTER ARE WORKING. IT RUNS FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES AND THEN IT DIES AND IT WON'T START TILL NEXT DAY. AND THEN IT WOULD BE THE SAME THING ALL OVER AGAIN. THE IGNITION MODULE AND THE RELAYS AND THE FUEL LINES ARE GOOD TOO. BATERY IS NEW DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR. I WOULD APRECIATE IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM I HAVE HAD IT FOR 3 YEARS AND HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY HUNDREDS ON DIFFERENT MECHANIKS AND THEY HAVEN'T FOUND THE PROBLEM. THANKS IN ADVANCE.....

Try leaving the gas caps loose for a test. If it stays running, then you have a vacuum in the tanks.
report results of test.

Also, other possibility is that fuel is getting hot in tank and vaporizing in fuel lines. Listen at fuel tank for vapor being forced through check valve in tank. WIll sound like a zazoo.

Truck start up run great couple minutes then shut off let set few minutes then crank up run great 30 second shuts down like you cut key off let set few minutes crank right back run fine then dose same

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. Maybe a bad fuel pump, or clogged filter. If it is carbureted, a stuck float valve or clogged float valve might be the problem.

Van keeps shutting off. i've done a complete tuneup with the exception of changeing the fuel filter. and now it seems to b burning gas or something. 1 minute i have gas and the next i dont

I would seriously consider changing the fuel filter. I'm afraid I don't know the Montana well enough to tell you the exact location of the fuel filter, it should be in the fuel line which should run along the left side of the van. This does take a couple special tools as well they'll run you around $20-$30 and the filter should run about the same.

'88 f150 will not start, 0 fuel pressure

I know the ford cars had a trip relay for the fuel pump. In the event of a wreck it shuts the fuel pump down and has to be reset manually. I am unsure if the pickups had the same thing.

Did you chg. fuel filter after you chg. fuel pump? Is fuel pump relay working and cycling? Is ground and all connections on tank clean and tight and also ground to frame?
