Question about 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt
This happened to me. you can charge the car from under the hood from the meteal cylinder that comes out of the fuse box. when the battery is charged you turn the ignition and let it recharged. then turn it off and the key should come out.

If you know anyone that has a portable booster, you should be able to plug the cord from the 12v outlet on the booster into the 12v (cigarette lighter or accessory charger) in the car, and get enough power to pop the trunk.
