2000 Audi A6 jerks and bumps when acclerating

When attempting to accelerate more than grandma the engine bogs and bumps. I suppose it could be fuel filter but feels more like tranny shifting indecision. How do I reset the computer?

I have the same problem with my 1999 A6. It feels like a transmission problem. When I took the car to a Euro-specialist they found no problems. Also the car has died on me while driveing, but then started up right after i pulled off the road. Since then the problem has gotten worse. Any ideas?

before you can get an answer to your problems you will need to have everything connected correctly. Take it to an accredited auto shop as they will have all the necessary connections and hoses to do the job.

Shuttering / vacuum

Do you also see the shuddering when you hit the gas to pass someone or accelerate quickly? If so, I'd swap out the fuel filter first - less money and that's a symptom of a clogged fuel filter.

If that doesn't do it, then yeah I'd check the mass air sensor out.

Diesel Fuel not getting through system on Audi A6 (99)

It sounds like the speed bump hit and pinched off the fuel inlet line. You'll have to check the line more closely cut out the bad section and repair it with compression fittings.

Difference between Audi A6 1.8t engine and 1.8 engine

It makes a big difference in acceleration. When the turbo spools up you will feel it in the seat of your pants. The turbo force feeds the engine air. More air means the engine can burn more fuel and more fuel means more POWER!!
