Question about 1996 Nissan Maxima
When driving my Nissan Maxima I always hear a whining / whistle sound when I press on the gas. I happens mainly between 40-50mph. When I am on the freeway the sound goes away. I have replaced my cv boots and axle. I have not replaced the drive belts and nissan tells me that I need to replace my rack and pinion because I have a leak. Are any of these factors the cause of this sound?
Check the clamps and air intake tubes between the air filter and the throttle body as i have seen this on other vehicals at work .
