Clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner and blow dry with compressed air or use a rag. Clean it 2-3 times then start the car. Also make sure that the hose fron the throttle body to the air flow sensor is thight and doe's not have cracks in it. (if it has air flow sensor)

2002 chevy venture van will only stay started if foot is on gas, if let off it stalls and dies! any idea what it is?

The most common reason why a fuel injected engine will not idle is either a dirty throttle body or a faulty idle air control valve.
The computer controls idle speed by regulating how much air enters the intake manifold.

Is it synthetic blend? I've never heard of regular oil ever turning pink, not even when contaminated with other fluids. Have it looked at by someone. If it's synthetic, maybe it's normal?

I had that exact code a couple weeks ago. Mine needed new oxygen sensors. They(there are 2, only one was throwing a code, but I had both replaced) cost a little over $100 to have replaced.
