be sure to check the grounds at the radiator support. the grounds become loose and causes electrical relays to overheat.

Running rough ,no power back fires sometimes while exceleration. new plugs, plug wires ,cap,rotor,o2 sensor, fuel filter firing order is right ...

Check Alternator for bad diodes and A/C output,
you shouldn't have

Check fuel pump--with a scope, to see if that
is getting ready to fail

Exhaust Converter- most likely clogged,thus
no power & all the other issues

Timing Chain --loose ?
Rock crank back and forth
Check timing with light, half way thru
firing order, should be same as on #1

No problems really, stalls once in a while. Just curious what consists of a tune-up on my engine. what I should replace and so on.

This would include your spark plugs or coils, the wires, a new distributor cap, an oil change, air filter, fuel filter, and a coolant flush. A tune up can make a car run like new again. Some don't change the fuel filter on a tune up but I have always said it is best too. They can get clogged up over time.

I put new plugs, wire and a cap and rotor and a new fuel filter. was running great until i did this

Sounds like you messed up your firing order. Bring the number one piston to top dead center of the compression stroke and remove the distributor cap. Note which post on the cap that the rotor button points to. This is your number 1 wire. Now you have a reference point to base the rest of the order on. Do not turn the distributor itself and it will run fine.

check your plug wires again and check the cap and rotor sounds like either a bad cap and rotor or a couple wires backwards
