Re: I have a buick skylark 1991 fi it will start and
You have a shorted fuel injector that is taking out the quad driver in the computer that is why i said did you ohm the injectors it should be 4.1 to 4.3 ohms per side anything less will shut off the quad driver in the computer. each individual injector should be 12 ohms
I have replaced the fuel filter the ecm and the fuel pump. I don't get any error code but it wont run.
That was it. The number four injector ohmed out at .005 I put in a new
one and the car started right up and ran fine!! Thank you so much!
wow so werid i'm having the exact same problem with a 1990 skylark, just bought it friday, it had been sitting for a few years, only has 28,000 orig miles everything on this car is factory, changed the fuel filter, ran great for a few hours, then bam same thing started again, you start it, idols for a few then stalls out, sometimes with start right back up, others you have to wait a few minutes then after a few trys will start up and run, sometimes a few blocks, sometimes more just depends on when it feels like stalling out again. Does this sound like the same thing? Just the injectors? Thanks so much
you need to have the injectors ohmed out for the resistance factor
Did you replace the fuel filter?
