SOURCE: hard start

Its your fuel pump.I had the same plomblem not too long ago.I was spraying either in to start it.I have a 97 chevy truck witch requires 65 psi to start and 55 to run properly. You need to find out much psi you need to start it.You can probaly look in your manual or just make a few calls. My truck had 55 psi and it ran fine i just had to get it running first.Good luck.I wonder if that fuel pressure regulator was a waste of time like it was for me.

SOURCE: I dropped the fuel tank to drain old gas.I put new

Turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. You should hear the fuel pump running for 5 seconds if working. This primes the gas to the injectors when doing this. If not heard running check the oil pressure switch for the 12 volts needed to run the fuel pump starts there on that harness. When the engine starts and the oil pressure reaches the normal pressure the computer shuts off that circuit and turns on the fuel pump relay to run the pump. The relay stays on till you shut the engine off

the clicking is the fuel pump relay a small electrical device that lets a small computer controlled current controll a large current too power the fuel pump did you put a fuel pressure gauge on it too se if the prsure was too specification ( fuel injected vehicals generally put out 40 - 50 psi depending on make and model ) are you getting sufficiant spark at the plugs ? is the MIL illuminated ( check engine light ) maybe codes that could help no scan tool the local parts store will pull the codes for you but generally dont take there advice on what they mean they want too sell parts there not auto techs and there usually wrong .

Using a multimeter check the wiring for power at the pump and at the relay. It sounds like a bad relay.

SOURCE: 2006 ford f150 4x4 has spark but no fuel to start.

First thing I would do is use a rubber mallet or something similar and bang on the bottom of the tank hard. Believe it or not, this method is used most often in diagnosing a bad fuel pump at your ASE certified shop (I would know). If it does not "prime" when ignition is first turned on, you bang on it and all of a sudden it primes...bad fuel pump. If that does not work out then locate the fuse providing the current to the pump and make sure test light will light up on both sides of the fuse while ignition is on. Keep in mind though, A fuel pump will only be "energized" for about 5 seconds once the ignition switch is turned on. This is called "priming" it will only remain energized the entire time IF the vehicle is running. So you may need a helper to cycle the ignition on and off for you in 5-10 second intervals. If you have confirmed current at this point, find the wire loom going to the fuel pump. The pump will be on top of the tank as will the connector and loom. You probably won't be able to reach the connector with the tank strapped up though so follow the wire loom back to a point where you can get a hold of it. Carefully pull the wires out from the side of the loom so you can prod it with you test light. Make sure you have a good ground under there. Brake lines work pretty good as a ground source. Make sure you have a very sharp point on your test light as you will need to poke through the insulation, making contact with the wire inside. Don't poke it all the way through as that will damage the wires. Have your helper cycle the ignition in 5-10 second intervals. You are looking for a wire that does not light up while ignition is off but does light up when ignition is on then goes out after a few seconds. If you do find a wire that does this then I'd replace the fuel pump. IF you are certain you have a good ground and your test light does not light up for those few seconds then you have an electrical issue. (if you don't light up, try a different source of ground just to make sure)

I changed the fuel pump but the van still won't

And you know the fuel filter is good? Could be injector problem: just as a check, spray some starting fluid into the intake and see if engine runs a few seconds. If it does, it is a fuel problem. Check injector fuse, as a start. Check fuel pressure. Check injector circuit. If engine won't start with starting fluid, check if you are getting spark. Problem may be in the ignition system.

My 1999 nissan quest van is like its mot getting gas I put new fuel pump spark plugs cleaned fuel injectors it's still not starting

Can you hear the pump hum or buzz when you turn the key to on? It should come on for a couple of seconds to pressurize the fuel system. If you don't hear it, check the fuel pump fuse. If fuse is good, find the fuel pump relay under the hood. Hold a finger lightly on the relay and have someone turn the key to on. You should feel it click on to power the fuel pump. If no click from the relay, you will have to diagnose the fuel pump circuit. The relay should have power from a fuse link or a maxi-fuse that may be out. The computer signals the relay to turn it on.
Now if you do hear the pump, you would want next to check the ignition circuit: check for spark on one or two of the spark plug wires. The ignition is probably good if you see a blue snapping spark. If weak, intermittent, or orange colored spark, the ignition circuit would need diagnosing.

My van just stop working, i think its the fuel pum...

Before you have the pump removed check for a blown fuse/relay controling the fuel pump. Replace the fuse if it is blown and have someone to turn on the ignition and check for the pump to come on,if not you can put your finger on to of the relay and feel if it clicks. If not replace the relay. Hope this will help you.

1993 Chevy Astro Mini Van not starting

if your mini van has a 4.3 litre engine v6, when you turn the key on you should be able to hear the electric fuel pump start. the fuel pump is inside the gas tank,if you hear the pump you might want to change the fuel filter. The thing about computerized engines and a throttlebody is that you need a fully charged battery to start work with.
