SOURCE: hard start
Its your fuel pump.I had the same plomblem not too long ago.I was spraying either in to start it.I have a 97 chevy truck witch requires 65 psi to start and 55 to run properly. You need to find out much psi you need to start it.You can probaly look in your manual or just make a few calls. My truck had 55 psi and it ran fine i just had to get it running first.Good luck.I wonder if that fuel pressure regulator was a waste of time like it was for me.

then it has a problem ,check for a feed to the pump first ,have worked on one of these here in spain and the beast would not start ,found the wires from casing to the pump had corroded and burnt out inside the tank

Turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine. You should hear the fuel pump running for 5 seconds if working. This primes the gas to the injectors when doing this. If not heard running check the oil pressure switch for the 12 volts needed to run the fuel pump starts there on that harness. When the engine starts and the oil pressure reaches the normal pressure the computer shuts off that circuit and turns on the fuel pump relay to run the pump. The relay stays on till you shut the engine off

the clicking is the fuel pump relay a small electrical device that lets a small computer controlled current controll a large current too power the fuel pump did you put a fuel pressure gauge on it too se if the prsure was too specification ( fuel injected vehicals generally put out 40 - 50 psi depending on make and model ) are you getting sufficiant spark at the plugs ? is the MIL illuminated ( check engine light ) maybe codes that could help no scan tool the local parts store will pull the codes for you but generally dont take there advice on what they mean they want too sell parts there not auto techs and there usually wrong .
