- I have the same problem and other electrical gremlins. Things like the central locking, windows, wipers, roof, AC, etc works sometimes but not others it's completely random as to what you get when you turn the key.I've spoken with a BMW specialist and they think it's a computer that handles the 'BUS' wiring not receiving the 'pulse' from the ignition key correctly. I've yet to have this confirmed. - junkbamforth
