Question about 1999 Chevrolet Venture
99 chev venture van- we have a coolent issue, we had a bad intake gasket which we have fixed, new water pump and thermostat. For the last 2 days the temp needle was not moving alot and if it did it was air pockets. TONIGHT drove it home(hwy) and the temp gage was all over the place. When it starts getting higher the heat from the blower turns cold and then all of the suddent a hick-up and the gage goes down and there is a burst of heat again,...the coolent level is fine and is not leaking. What more could this be????
Me I would check the thermostat it may be sticking if it wereto stick shut it would cause the gauge to act iratic and even if you have just replaced it it still may be bad my advice it will cost a few dollars more buy it from the dealer they always seem to work and last longer if not that may be plugged up radator hope for the thermostat
