If the weather man annouce rain or snow the truck seems to or by time i think the truck called the weather man to annouce the precipitation! those 4.3 v-6 engine are good engine but i've come throw a fiew that had the same problem. I've ask around but it seems like theres no fix!

I've tried to retrieve the code; no code. Code sets only during damp condition. I replace the distr. cap again and I applied a coat of copper plate with a brush, + covered the cap with a piece comming out of a tube (tire tube). Weather is nice right now, waiting for rain or snow storm! I'll keep in touch don't worry.

Acording to the GM Service Bulletins #03-06-041A and #05500 it seems that no cure from their parts should be expected! For the owner of that vehicle damnation is close.... Is their a special distributor cap made of material coming from N.A.S.A Space Shuttle available?

Right now, weather is nice and the S.E.S. is on. I've retrieve the code...PO 300. the tach is jumpy when it misses; about 200 rpm i would say.

From you're point of view; I should try a crank sensor. I'm scaptical ! A crank sensor cost a 1oo dollars. Expensive for a try. I'll try to find a use one for a try. I don't know if a c.s. coming out of a V-8 is the same one.The problem that I encounter only acts in winter! summer time...I forget the miss... That's why the c.s....I don,t know...

I have had a problem with the crank sensors on these. If it misses and has a jumpy tach, replace the crank sensor. I have had a couple of these with this problem.

Try giving the crank sensor more air gap. Put an o'ring around the sensor before you stick it in the hole. I fixed 1 with this solution, maybe it will work for you. And it might save you the money on a new one.

1992 f150 is misfiring when it is idelling.

I had this same thing happen under the same circumstances with a 1993 GMC Sonoma truck. I'm sure you've probably already checked this, but those new wires will sometimes pop off or loosen after a day or two when first installed. That's what happened with one of my new wires, and all that had to be done was to snap it back on securely. Misfire problem gone. Good luck with yours!

99 Astro Van random misfires P300

Before you replace the injectors have them do an injector balance test. Normally wet weather does not effect fuel system. Sounds more like you have a crank or cam sensor acting up.

Won't start

Check the fuel injectors, with the key on one side of the two wire connector will have battery voltage, if none is present then check the ECM fuses in the underhood fuel box.

Changing spark plug wires

The best way is to replace one wire at a time. Grab each wire boot and twist back and forth to break loose the sealing to the plug, and pull off. When reinstalling, make sure that all wires are seated in the ditributor cap, they can be a little tough to get seated properly.
