Not getting fuel to motor. i replaced my fuel pump and filter but still nothing. i check the fuse and that's fine as well, is there something I'm just missing

1. You should check that the fuel pump is actually running. Have someone turn the ignition on and then off a few times while you listen with the fuel cap off the tank filler tube. The pump should run for 3 seconds and then stop each time the ignition is turned on. If you cannot hear the pump then you need to check both the fuse(which you say is OK) and the relay that covers the fuel pump circuit. The relay should click when you turn the ignition on and off. If it does not you need to replace it as no power will get to the pump.

2. If that all checks out OK have a fuel pressure check carried out. Any mobile mechanic can do that for you. It is possible there is a problem with the fuel pressure regulator retarding fuel flow to the engine.

My 05 trailblazer ran out of gas and now runs terrible

Modern vehicles should never be allowed to run out of gas... EVER. The electric fuel pump is cooled by gasoline (believe it or not), and can overheat and fail if the tank is allowed to run dry. Also, the "fuel sock" (which is the fuel pickup strainer in the tank) can become clogged with solids and other debris from the tank. The fuel filter can clog with this debris also.

You'll need to have the fuel system checked.

My car keeps cutting out as if its run out of fuel even tho its got a full tank of fuel

have the fault codes read and look for a problem EVAP system not venting the tank ( opening the gas cap to put in fuel is allowing the tank to vent until the next time)
never on fuel lights as they are only an indication and can be off

Ran out of gas refilled then it ran sluggish now it wont start its 2001 mercedes s430

Could be a a fuel pump fuse, blocked fuel intake filter, blocked in-line filter or failed pump. 1) When the fuel goes very low the dregs and dirt in the bottom of the tan are likely to sucked into the fuel pipe. The end of the fuel pickup pipe within the tank has a filter sock on the end of it to prevent very large particles from entering the fuel line. However this can become overwhelmed with dirt that it may be become clogged. It may mean that the tank needs to be removed to clean/replace this sock. 2) Fuel pumps are cooled by the passage of fuel through them. If the car runs dry but one tries to repeatedly to start the car the fuel pumps can over heat and die. 3) the in-line fuel filter has become blocked. Check your fuses check the in-line fuel filter. The filter is located next to the fuel pump and consists of a metal canister with no electrical connections; I make a point of this since the pump and filter look similar. Next look at the pumps. Simply put the switch to position 2 in the ignition and listen to and feel the pumps for tell-tale whirring to show that they are OK. No whirring indicates failure. Lastly, check the fuel filter sock in the tank My guess is that you will not need to check the sock in the tank as you will trap the failure elsewhere first.

1994 f350 had to remove back tank for tow setup and now i dont have enough fuel for motor to accellrate will idle altough with a little sputter

It could be that in the process of having the fuel tank removed and refitted, some dirt or rust inside the tank has come loose and clogged the gauze input filter that is part of the fuel pump inside the fuel tank.To clean the tank filter, you will need to remove the pump assembly from the tank. Access to it is usually through a removable plate in the floor in the rear of the vehicle. If no access plate you will have to drop the tank again. It may pay to drain and flush the tank while it is out. Disconnect the wiring plug and the fuel hoses, noting which hose goes to which pipe and undo the screws holding the unit in the top of the tank. You may have to juggle it a bit to get it out. Once you have the pump assembly out, allow the gauze filter to dry. You can assess the amount of clogging by shining a torch through the gauze and see how much light comes through. Clean it by brushing with an old tooth brush and blowing clean with compressed air. Replacing is the reverse procedure. You may have to repeat the above cleaning process in a few months if the symptoms appear again. Also check the fuel filter in the engine bay and if in doubt replace it as well.

Changed fuel pump on 99 gmc sierra and has gone out again in less than 2 months, any suggestions what could be causing it?

Did you change the fuel filter? A partially clogged fuel filter will burn up a brand new pump. Otherwise I would suspect you just got a brand new bad fuel pump. Has happened to me twice, so it is possible. Some parts I pay more for to get the OEM brand. Fuel pumps, water pumps, heater core, etc. Any hard to replace part, I buy from the dealer or from a parts store that sells the OEM brand.

1994 Jeep Wrangler starts fine runs for a few minutes then dies.

I'm not sure if your Jeep has this or not, but you could check with your local Chrysler dealership. Some vehicles have a sock filter in the gas tank to filter any debris before it is delivered to the engine. What sometimes will happen is, you vehicle will start and run until debris clogs the sock filter and it will die. After the vacuum on the fuel line is gone the debris will fall free from the sock filter back to the bottom of the gas tank. Then when you restart the vehicle it picks up the debris again and clogs you filter again. This happen to me once and I have to remove the tank and clean the debris out and install a new sock filter. Good luck.

Yes fuel should come out when the pump is running. There is a little sock or filter at the end of the pick up tube in the fuel tank that feeds the fuel pump. This screen is very fine to filter out small particles. This sock is probably plugged up. To fix you will need to drop the fuel tank remove the sock and then clean out the debris from the tank. Even though the gas stations run filters off their pumps you still get floaters in your tank from the gas stations and if you tend to run your tank low always your sock will plug up eventually. If you turn the vehicle off it may restart again until the sock plugs again and then shut down.

The problem is the fuel pump resistor. The connector is located behind the passenger headlight. It is a white plastic plug about 2-3 inches long. Unplug the connector and jump it out. The car will start and run until you can replace the resistor.
