Sounds like dirty gas and the fuel filter is clogged...try changing the fuel filter...some are under the car, but most are mounted against the firewall in the engine compartment.

SOURCE: how do you change a fuel pump on 2003 chevy astro

on the engine compartment on the fuel rail there is a pressure port that is usually covered by colored plastic cover open it then turn the ignition switch listen for the sound of your fuel pump turning on momentarilly. if you cannot hear it while ignition is on insert small screw driver on the port to open the valve make sure you wrap rugs to control the flow of fuel if there is any. the fuel should around 40-50 psi so expect heavy fuel coming out at port if your pump is working. to change it you have to drop your fuel tank and replace your pump. this is usually left for professional due to fire hazard. any spark due to static electricity can set your fuel to flame up.

My 1992 chevy g20 van surges and i'm not sure exactly why. I changed the pcv valve, fuel filter, spark plugs, and air filter. What are some possibilities

My first thought would be a vacuum leak in one of the hoses. Rubber hoses get brittle with age and even a small crack in a hose may cause surging. Happened to me in a Lumina.

1992 chevy astro van getting fire but not fuel stalled while driving replaced fuel pump when we pour gas into the intake the engine will fire but not getting gas

Did you change the filter? Can you hear the pump cut in for a few seconds when you first turn the key the "run" position? If you can'r hear it, you may want to check fuses and power wires to the pump.

"no start 99 astro van" The motor wants to start, but quits again. The van has been sitting about 8mos and when it was parked it had similar issues. It would be going along fine and then stall. Some things...

On a vehicle this age, this almost certainly describes a bad fuel pump. It is in the gas tank, and very hard to change at home. Repair shops charge about 500 buck labor plus the part, and they won't blow it up doing the repair.

1999 chevy astro van studdered stalled and now will not start

I have had that exact issue on my 99 astro, but before it left me stranded on the side of the Highway it was running a little rougher than usual, but once accelerated it was fine, until it finally Stalled. So i Replaced the fuel filter and The Cap and Rotor and now it is Fine, started Right Up.
