Question about 1995 GMC Sonoma
I installed an after market tachometer into my 2000 GMC Sonoma. It is reading 500 RPM at idle. I have it set to 4 cylinder already.

I see this a lot on the 03-06 Envoy instrument clusters, it's caused by failing stepper motors on the cluster's circuit board. It can be fixed though, check out this page about how to get it fixed - Envoy tachometer not working
