Mine had the same problem earlier this year. I tracked it down to the starter cables. They didn't feel loose, but has been working fine ever since I adjusted them. Just a thought

Today 11-12-08 my 2003 H2 Hummer would not start. Checked battery it ischarged. Cables tight. Tried to start with portable booster pak. No go. Tridto jump start with my wife's Suburban. Still no go.
When I turn the switch I hear a single click and that is it. No engine turning over. While trying to start with key the headlights go out. Out of ideas, Will take to Chevy garage in am. Will post solution.

SOURCE: hummer h2 won't start- all power comes on

Also check to be sure it is in park. It could also be the key switch. Look in the yellow pages under autoelectric and take it to a shop where a specially trained tech with proper diagnostic tools can isolate and repair your problem.

WOULD THE BODY CONTROL MODULE DRAIN THE BATTERY WHEN NOT IN USE FOR 1 WEEK 2006 hummer h3

No, but if your battery is already weak or failing, it could discharge enough to cause starting problems.

My Hummer H2 wont start. Start Relay no switch

Neutral safety switch, try turn the key on neutral, jiggle the shifter, shift thru it's range, it may have come unplugged, or an alarm cut off relay or such.

2008 Polaris Ranger Crew 700. New battery and solenoid switch. Engine won't turn over. It starts easily by bridging the posts on the solenoid switch. What could the problem be?

What you have done is bypass the ignition switch, if it starts whilst crossing the solenoid.
I should try an electric meter to see if the ignition switch is sending the "juice" to the starter.
It sounds like it is not.
However, the current may also be going through a computer, a relay, or some other part , so those need to be tested.
I have no wiring diagram to look at for your unit, but here is a start.
God bless your efforts.

Range rider bugy with a kawasaki fc290v electronic ignition with a fully charged battery i turn the key and get nothing any ideas ?

I would say you should check to make sure you are getting juice to the starter when you are trying to start it. This can be done with a simple voltmeter or 12v light tester. If you are getting juice, then the issue seems to be a bad starter. If you are getting juice the it could be the solenoid, ignition switch or a simple loose connection. I will be more than happy to help you get this up and running. First start by testing to make sure you have juice going to the ignition switch and the starter when you turn the key.

I have a 1990 Nissan Sentra my alternator, starter, and battery are new and it won't start , but when i touch a screwdriver to the cylinoids it will start bt i dno't know were the problem is

If your positive that the battery is fully charged and has been load tested,, then your ignition switch may be bad, if the relay is clicking that would mean its getting juice, I would strongly suggest that you have the battery checked,, with all those new parts,, it all leads back to the battery not carrying the amps it needs , if the click is heard at the starter relay

Clicking when I turn ignition switch

I would start with the basics. Battery first, then solenoid, then cables, then starter.

Try to jump it off first. If it starts it could still be the battery or the charging system. Most places will change the battery and check the charging system for you if you buy the battery from them.

Fuel pump relay switch not working/ fuel pump emergency switch?

If the pump is making sound, then the relay must be ok.
It could still be weak, but you could tell with a pressure gauge.
(Harbor Freight sells a gauge kit cheap.)

But make sure the ignition is working first, by spraying in some starting fluid.
It is even sputters, then you know the ignition is ok.
If not, then check all the fuel injection connections.
The the temperature sensor and mass air sensor.
Use an ohmmeter, and check resistance against the norm.
