Question about 2001 Ford F150 Styleside SuperCrew
At times when i first start the struck it shakes bad, try and move forward and give it gas and gets worse. but if i just wait a while and let the engine warm up to regular temp the problem goes away.
The 1st thing to do is have a trouble code test run, Kragen, Oriley and Autozone parts stores will do this for free, then post the code(s) back here for us to look at. U will also need to run a fuel pressure leak down test, u do this by hooking a fuel pressure test guage ( u may be able to borrow this tool from Kragen or Autozone) to the pressure test port on the fuel rail that supplies fuel to the injectors, it looks like a metal tire valve, start the engine and shut it of after a minute, then watch the guage, u should not loose more than 5 PSI of fuel pressure, if it does drop right away then the built in pressure check valve is defective and u will need to replace the fuel pump and the fuel filter.
