I lost the keys of my car doors and the key that turns on the car doesnt open doors my batteries is dead and cant open the door

You will either need the dealer to replace the lock set and reprogram the system or a well equipped locksmith.

Just bought mk4 2000 golf v5,have to use key for lock/unlock but cant work out how to unlock without alarm going off when back door or boot is opened, only turns off by putting key in ignition

that is because the alarm needs a remote to tell the car that you are the owner and not someone with a key that fits the boot.the remotes are expensive so if you have not got a pair then sorry to say nothing you can do....last time i looked £132 each.....

2000 Echo with a broken manual door lock. Can't open door to fix

When you try to unlock it.... Do you here it making any sound?

I haven't even been in a Echo, So I can't really know how its setup lol but, i can try and help. :)

When you try to unlock it from the inside of the car do you here any sounds? Does it turn Really easy? Maybe the rod unhooked from the lock,

Have you tried a coat hanger? To try and jigge it open ,

You can remove the seat. :) Might be alittle hard but, it will work so you can take the pannle off, If you take this step BE sure to Disconnected you're Battery.

Have a 2000 VW Beetle. The alarm won't turn off!

My 2000 Beetle does same thing (although not all the time). Just found an internet post that suggests there is a problem in the door lock sensor. I assume you are using a regular key - not
the keyless entry - like I am. He also said that you can disable the alarm (also disables the
keyless entry - which doesn't bother me) by leaving the front door AND the rear trunk open and
starting the car up. Seems to work so far. I will get the door lock sensor replaced and turn the
alarm system back on (not sure how yet), and let you know if that stops the problem.

3) Turn the ignition switch to OFF position within 10 seconds, remove ignition key from lock cylin-der.
4) Push and release the driver’s door switch (1) 3 times within 20 seconds.
5) Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to ON position within 10 seconds.
6) Turn the ignition switch to OFF position within 10 seconds, remove ignition key from lock cylin-der.
7) Press and hold both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons (2) on the transmitter (3) for more than 5 seconds
within 20 seconds of removing the ignition key from the lock cylinder in step 6.
8) Press LOCK or UNLOCK button (2) on the transmitter (3) within 5 seconds (after step 7). All the

With this process, the transmitter has been programmed.
