Question about 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis

1 Answer

My Vauxhall Vectra 1800 have just failed its MOT on rear seat belt 'fluffing'. No one ever sits in the rear of my car, and the same garage passed it last year. I have done nearly 500 miles this year. Are they right to fail the car for this, can it be repaired or must I replace the belt.

SOURCE: Audi A4 coil pack

There are 4 coils, one for each cylinder. Audi tend to replace one at a time to save costs. So yes this is probably quite likely.

SOURCE: How do i fix a loose wing mirror on my car?

Solution 1 works, but I had a more complex problem with the mirror in my corsa. The three screws have to be driven into cylindrical projections which sit on the outer triangle. Two of these three projections were broken, so the holes were not reachable with standard sized bolts from the inside. I somehow managed to get one screw which was long enough to reach the hole. So now the mirror is held by two screws. I could do nothing about the third one. However, the mirror doesn't wobble now. Hope is stays that way!
