I'm assuming you have checked all the obvious = bulbs/switches/fuse etc?
Can you switch the lights on manually ?
Is it the same if any door opened = no light?
If so =
the light timer/fader control may have failed.
Sorry I can't be more help.

02 jaguar xtype how to manually open doors if handle is broken

Hi

if the door is locked and wont open from the inside or outside then you have to remove the interior door trim, this can be tricky as the seat is in the way, you can often just remove al the top brackets holding the door trim on and get your hand down inside the door to pull the metal bar than opens the door.

Do you need a step by step guide? you can do this your self, quite an easy job just takes a little patience.

Regards

Dan

Jaguar S-type --- drivers door open idicator will not shut off

the switch should be by the bottom of the door or near the hinge it gets depressed when the door is closed and it pops out when the door is opened some times it gets dirty and wont function correctly fairly easy to change on most cars also same location on most cars.

Rear interior light and door courtesy lights not working- Jaguar

take off the cover and replace them. if you have a volt/ohm meter you can put if on the car side and make sure you have voltage and the ohm meter on the buldb should give a 1 rating if its good. it would be the cheapest and easiest to just get a new bulb and see if it works then start checking fuses if its not the bulb.

Inertia switch located on the passengers side (under the dash). You may need to remove a small door to get access to it. If you have not been in an accident, then it was probably tripped accidentally. Simply press the button, and it will reset. This should get your car running again. Good Luck!
