NISSAN HAD A RECALL ON THE CRANK AND CAM POSITION SENSORS. THEY ARE PLASTIC AND WHEN THEY GET HOT THEY CRACK, WHICH CAUSES OIL TO RUN INTO THE PLUG AND SHORT OUT. MY CARE STALLED AT 70 MPH WHEN MINE FAILED. NOT TOO HARD TO CHANGE. ONLY COAT ABOUT $40 AT AUTOZONE FOR NEW STYLE SENSOR (METAL INATEAD OF PLASTIC)

SOURCE: how to replace the crankshaft sensor on 2003 Nissan Altima

The cam sensor is mounted in top of the engine on the right side of the engine where the tranny mounts. You have to remove the top cover of the engine to get to it. Remove the electrical connector from the sensor, there is a clip that holds the connector in place. Push down on the back of it and then pull back at the same time. Pull on the connector and not the wires, they are very small and will break. Remove the bolt holding the sensor. To remove the sensor by twisting and pull on it at the same time. Is the engine not running, why are you replacing the cam sensor?

SOURCE: ABS FAULT WITH NISSAN TERRANO YREG

Had same fault - was damaged wiring in loom at back of engine where main engine harness meets the bulkhead.

There is a screened cable grey/pink that houses the two O/S/F ABS wires blue and pink. The loom copex cuts through the ABS cable causing this fault. Take a look at link below:

Can i replace a 40 amp fuse with a 45 amp fuse in a nissan micra

No its never better to use a higher amp fuse because the system was designed to use a 40 amp fues.If you put a 45 in it, It will subject the system to 45 amps which it was'nt made for.

This sounds to me like a problem with the electrical connections in the multiplug sockets ,the previous problems were 3 yrs ago but check out that you do not have a siemans coumpter these are prone to weird and wonderfull faults .Normally once you start getting cam sensors and crank sensors then misfire 1/4 and so on this is a prelude to a faulty computer .

Nissan micra won't lock

I just opened the key and put loads of switch cleaner (you can get it for a few quid from Maplin's or similar). Good as a workaround, but presumably not a long term solution.

If you replaced the part, you just need the trouble code cleared. Only a matter of plugging in a scanner and erasing trouble code. Some vehicles reset if you leave the battery unhooked for 10 minutes, so I am not sure if that will work for you.

i just had the same problem in my bmw 325i. Probably vaccum leak or exhaust leak. Check that nothing came loose in these areas. It takes time for your car to learn the new CPS (cam pos. sensor) so give it a few days and reset the code again and see if it works.
