Disabled by the dealership? Why would they do that?

Kill Switch? There is no kill switch.

Disconnect wire to get it to start? Wires are permanently connected and you would CONNECT to get it to start, IF they disconnected it to stop you stealing your own vehicle.

So many Questions! :>)

Contact the dealership and tell them to give you your vehicle back in good running order.

Go to or contact one of the many Ford dealerships or contact a RV dealership.

Unfortunately the dealership is the onlyone that can fix this issue.
I know many people that have tried many things to bypass that problem but in the end the dealership was the only fix to the problem.

You are better off contacting the dealership to have these items looked at. Depending on warranty, it may be a covered item. And if this issue results in a problem with the display and not the camera, many of today's newer cars have these systems VIN programmed, which will put you in the dealership anyway

There are special tools that look like a horse shoe that fit ito the two small holes on each side or the stereo to release it. You can either purchase them or go to a dealership and have them remove it. Many dealerships will do this for free as it only takes a second to pop the stereo out. Please rate this answer, thanks.

Couple of things are
1) If the shop was and insurance referral to their location get the insurance company involved.
2) you can contact the BBB and issue a complaint
3) contact the department of Agriculture (motor Vehicle ) and issue a complaint
4) contact Hyundai representative for the Hyundai dealers in the area, ( the person who makes sures the dealership is in compliance with Hyundai guidelines)
5) get to the general manager of the dealership involved and issue a complaint.

It doesn't necessarily have to be in this order but you do have options ,,, good luck

being a 2009, dont have anyone touch it, authorized toyota dealership only, beside doing oil change. anyone does any repair work beside toyota dealership it will void the warranty which has Bumper to bumper 3/36 and powertrain 5/60. take it to them and have them diagnose the problems, if they cant answer of fix the problems take it to another dealership. if two dealership cant fix the issue contact the manufacture and explained the issue if no help then, I would go ahead a file lemon car. dont take no BS from any dealership, you spend allot of money on that car knowing is going to be good to you for many years; not frustrations for many years.

If you have had this concerne for quite a while and it has been documented at the dealership, I would get into contact with Toyota customer relations.

If your dealership opend a case file with Toyota and it has never been resolved(no further contact to Toyota) then they(Toyota) are most likely under the impression that the problem is resolved.
