Engine light on and car jerks when starting up and driving off.

their is a brain module that controls the fuel injection unit on this car ,before going out and spending tons of money take it to the dodge dealer in your area and let them run a diagnostic that they can plug into directly under the steering wheel , they can have an answer for you in minutes and if you don,t want to pay the high prices of the dealer then let the service tech show you which part is malfunctioning so you can identify it and see if it,s something you might be able to easily replace yourself ,always get a price from the service writer so you can shop around at local auto parts stores and possibly get the part for half of what the dealer costs, good luck ,sincerely Glenn

throw about 3 tanks of premium fuel and some really good fuel system cleaner through it. or just get the injectors cleaned.
