I thought the parts when the engine was running would come out better, but its just too loud. ... How to set ...
Most all Chev or GMC v8 engines use the firing order of 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. You have to find where #1 is on the distributor cap which is usually closest to #1 cylinder then looking toward the back of the engine go clock-wise to install the rest. Don't get too close to the headers. Plastic melts!
there probably is but here is what i know, #1,2,3,4 are on the passengers side starting from the front going to the back of engine...#5,6,7,8 are on the drivers side starting from front to back...so #6 plug is the 2nd plug on the drivers side and the fuel rail may be in the way to access it and the power steering pump bracket may be in the way as well.
You will have to remove the serpintine belt off take off the Hoses from the steering box be carefull not to strip them out, use some WD-40 or something the make it easier if they wont come off take your time and work them back and forth, If your just doing the pump then take the hoses off the pump not the steering box, take the retaining bold out of the steering pump and it should come right off.
