.. The throttle position sensor or the TSP is one of the rare sensors that you can have in your auto and you can actually adjust.

When I speed up to 50 miles per hour sometimes, I have a hesistation or missing. Like it will cut off on me, but it doesn't. When I give it gas, it stops. I was told it might be a sensor problem. I am...

this sound like a tsp problem you need a scanner to check this problem if your check engine light is on take it to your nearest auto zone they will read the code if the tsp code comes up tats your problem if it do-sent it could still be your problem but that's a little hard to check without the scanner u need to go were the scanner is reading the tsp sensor and push the accelerator pedal down slowly the reading should go up slowly if it goes bikers that's your problem

I need to know where the throttle position sensor is in my 2000 dodge durango v8 magnum 5.9

I have a 4.7 but I believe the TSP is in the same place - looking at the throttle body from the drivers side fender, there should be two electrical plugs. The TSP is the bottom plug - disconnect the connector, and loosen the two torx screws holding it in - 5 min fix.

P0121 code in a 2000 dodge durango, will he TPS make the ransmission shift spuratically.

Yes..... The TPS can cause this!!! Another sign of a failing TPS is for the rpm's to fluctuate up and down by 100-300 as you drive down the interstate at a steady speed on a level surface.

After 8 years, you put in a fresh engine but do not touch the transmission, at least the torque converter? Seriously, hindsight is great, isn't it! Well, you got my take on it. I think you might need to change out that torque converter at the very least and if you do drop the tranny to change that converter, have the transmission gone through as well. Doing any less is just asking for trouble. That fresh engine is just too much for the ole tranny! Sorry for the bad news my friend but that's the way I see em! Let me know what you decide?
