Teck689- Your 2112 is throttle acutor stuck closed. This would be a problem with your throttle body. Your 2104 is a forced idle code. I would suspect that you were at one time unable to control the throttle after seeing that light. Your 2104 is set when the pcm sees a signal that does not match expected signal. dont chase the 2104 its set due to your 2112. Bottom line removed the throttle body which will be located at the end of the engine side of the intake tract. It should be held on with (4) 8mm bolts after you remove the hose clamp style clamp that surrounds the intake tract. WARNING: Do not I repeat DO NOT drop anything past that throttle body when you remove it. Go to a parts store pick up some "brake clean" clean and give both sides of the inside of that throttle body a real good and reinstall it. Make sure you remove any black build up which is carbon. That usually fixes it or at least buys you some time. If the light returns you will have to replace the throttle body. Expect to spend in the high 200's to low 300's for a new throttle body. good luck

SOURCE: trouble code p2104 & p2112

There is a motor on the throttle body that opens it

It is called a Throttle Actuator Control Motor (TACM)

Those are the codes you got

DO NOT replace the throttle body

Spray the throttle plate with- CRC Throttle Body Cleaner

You should also have COP Ignition Coil-- Codes

A bad coil may be spiking the PCM,coming back
on the TPS and setting thoses codes

Where is Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Sensor located on 2006 Ford Explorer?

Having similar trouble. Started with 12 codes now after replacing fuel pump and vapor management valve I still have 3 codes P2112 P2104 and P0451. Starts right up but idles very rough little response to pedal. I replaced tps and throttle body motor no change. Is it possible I need to have the PCM flashed? Any help or resolve to someone else's problem helps. Thanks!

I got codes P 2104 & P 2112 - what is this and how can it be sloved?

P2104 - Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System - Forced Idle
P2112 - Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System - Stuck Closed.
P2104 was set because the pcm had to step in to set the idle. The TAC system is in the failure mode effects management (FMEM) mode of forced idle. P2104 is just an informative code, set because of P2112. P2112 possible causes: Binding throttle body, stuck closed or
Damaged PCM

tell your dealer technician to follow pinpoint test DV1 in the workshop manual. (but also to reference test QE1) DV1 deals with him/her checking the throttle position voltages, if these voltages are not within spec, proceeding with checking for obstructions in the throttle body, then if this passes, he/she checks the wiring to the TAC assembly. there are many steps in this test and since the truck isnt here i can't tell you where the test will go (throttle body assembly, PCM, etc.) most likely it will be the throttle position sensor which is a part of the throttle body assembly or a simple connector coming unplugged or wiring being cut, but once again since i dont have the truck in front of me i can't be 100% sure. good luck. hope this helps.

The following diagnostic codes P2104, P2111, and P2112 the engine failure mode appears car wont move turn it off and on again and its fine with just the check engine light Happens several timesaday now

all the codes point to throttle body. clean throttle body, especially around throttle plate. check for loose wires, if problems persist. replace throttle body. p2104 is tac system forced idle, p2111 is tac system stuck open, p2112 is tac system stuck closed. clean throttle body good, and see if this fixes it. then go from there. have a good day !!

Seems like Throttle Actuator is the problem.

Good luck on this repair.

P2104 P2112 P2111 My 2005 Expedition continues to cut off and the engine light comes on. After a few miles the light goes off. Then the problem starts all over again.

The p2104 code was set because the PCM had to set the idle speed, the p2112 was set to indicate that your throttle body was stuck closed. You can try to remove the throttle body and clean it, check to ensure that it opens smoothly, check the TPS connector to ensure that it is plugged in correctly, reset the light and if the problem returns, you will probably have to install a new throttle body assembly. Hope this helps, let me know

My check engine light has come on for my 2006 Ford Fusion and 3 codes came up...P0010, P2104, and P2112. Any ideas what these mean?

Fuel and Air Metering and Auxiliary Emission Controls P2104 Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Idle
P2112 Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed
If it's not the pedal, it has to be throttle body, senor or harness related.
