Strong radiator smell when defogger or heat is on

I have a 1995 4X4 S10 blazer and the problem I am having is that when I turn on the front defogger or heat there is a heavy smell of radiator fluid coming in though the defogger vent and the front windshield fogs up really bad. I looked and checked the front floor boards to see if its wet from possibly the heater core leaking and is not and even checked the radiator to see if its low and its not either so I am in a lost here what can it be, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My heater coil went bad,and i recently bought a new heater coil and it was placed in the truck-1994 chevy blazer s10 4 door, vortex engine, the problem is now, that the blower is not working or the fan,and no...

I ASSUME you replaced the heater CORE? You need to find the ticking noise in front, just turn key on, turn blower on, and find out where its coming from. It cant catch fire, not from that anyhow. The radiator releases the heat from the engine, you are using a fraction of that heat for the cab of the truck. Rap on the blower motor and see if it starts to run, if so, replace it. Check the fuse.

89 s10 blazer 4.3 liter replaced heater coil and thermostat still not blowing good heat now battery indicator light comes on when starting to move.

Check the water pressure in your engine system. You could have a cracked radiator core, or tank, or a leaking water pump, or hose, or a weak radiator cap that will not allow the pressure to build up in your engine and move the heat around as is required.

I doubt the heating problem is related to the battery indicator unless the fan belt is slipping QUIETLY, but that will not last long, as you will burn through the belt soon.

If you got a good battery and a good alternator then check your fan belt. Remember, check the pressure of the water in the engine block to deal with the heat problem.

94 blazer s10 4l60e and the 94 fullsize blazer 4l60e are they the same transmission could i use a s10 tranny for my fullsize blazer ?? i know the bolt for the plate are 3 on each side for mine and the s10...

Installing the full-size Blazer trans into the S-10 would be safer. As long as they came off of the same size engine then yes, they will interchange. But.... the trans off of the S-10 is not built as strong as the trans for the full-sized Blazer, clutch capacity is less, band servo may have smaller apply area, and torque convertor stall speed may different enough to set a "code". Towing capability would be compromised. I have no idea what you meant by the "bolt for the plate".
