Question about 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
My 2001 chevy silverado will not start i was driving and it suddenly turned off on me i thought it was the fuel pump so i went ahead and replaced it but that wasnt the problem there seem to be electricity but it wont start i found a fuse burned in the engine fuse box (ecm) and replaced it but that didnt do the trick either.if any one can throw me bone here would appreciate it
Check under hood fuse box. Look for fuel pump fuse and starter relay fuse. They are both the same size. Take them out and bend the 4 prongs outward a little bit. Reinsert and try. This will help them make contact inside fuse box. This is a common problem.

I don't know if this is the problem, but its worhth looking into. On the tahoes, if the gas cap was defective, the motor would just shut down. Something to do with a vac canistor error.

No offense meant but how often do you check the oil and water? on the newer models there is a safety shutoff for low oil and/or water
