Horn is working sporadically. Now it does and now it doesn't. If it's grounding problem, will cleaning the Unions with WD-40 fix it?

You need to take the horns off and spray the connector terminals with electrical contact cleaner. Make sure an ground wire; common between two horns usually, don't have corrosion on them. Remove any nuts and use crocus cloth to remove it by light sanding motion. Re-attach everything. If the horns work okay, then apply some WD-40 to the bolted ground connection to prevent future corrosion. In some cases, the horn driver may be blown, so you may need new ones. Get them from a junkyard, this aids in recycling.

2006 ford tauras i replaced batterie, alternator, and belt i have a noise coming for the bottom pulley while i spray wd40 around the bottom pulley only the noise stops what makes this pulley go out and how...

First, if you have sprayed WD-40 on your belt, your belt has been wrecked and needs to be replaced again. WD-40 will only soak into the belt and CAUSE it to slip and make noise.

Then you need to check the alignment of all the belt pullies. The tensioner pullies on many Fords can wear and sit a little out of alignment and cause the belt to rub sideways against the other pullies. Replacing the belt tensioner usually fixes it.

Our 2000 mazda 626 seatbelts are not working in the back they are hard to click together and once there click you can just pull on it and it comes undone, we just got the car from a friend and they never...

sounds like they weren't used much, try to spray (put a rag or something behind it so the seat doesn't get soaked/ stained) something like WD-40 into the locking part of the seatbelt (you may have to do it a few times) and keep pushing the tab in and out. if it doesn't start to work after about 6-8 cleanings, then you may want to talk to a dealer or parts person about it (ooh, just thought of something, look down inside it and see if there isn't something like a coin or bits of paper stuck down in there. that used to jam up printers VERY well when I was doing tech support)

No power windows or door locks till you warm up drivers master switch with heat gun

Hello there!, You might have moisture in the switch, You should buy a can of wd-40 if you do not have it already and then remove the switch from the door, turn it over and spray the wd-40 inside the switch you will want to make sure that the spray gets down inside real well. Turn it back over and spray in around the top side as well. Then work each switch both directions several times. After this wipe everything dry with a clean cloth and replace it. If it is a moisture problem this will fix it. wd-40 is a water displacer for electronics. if this does not fix the problem you will need to replace it.
( The switch is removed by using a flat tip screw driver to release the clips or plastic tabs located on the plastic trim around the switch set itself ). Hope this helps.

Getting a 'squealing' noise from the engine all the time. What is the cause likely to be??

Depending on the model it could be a belt alignment problem, loose belt or bad bearing in a pulley. If the squeal gets louder if you spray water in the area of the pulley it is most likely a loose belt. I would start by looking at the belt itself first then spray WD-40 in the bearing area of the Idler pulley and tensioning pulley. If the WD-40 works the problem is a bad bearing. Otherwise it is again, most likely, a loose belt. As a final check you can spray belt dressing on the belt and if the squeal goes away then it is your belt being loose. This could be caused by a belt being stretched over time or a tensioner not working correctly due to a weak spring, if equipped with spring loaded tensioner. If it doesn't have a spring loaded tensioner then you may just need to tighten the belt by adjusting it.

Gear lever stiff and does not return to the centre

Hi, Permanant fix, take to garage and get them to replace link shaft on gear change mechanism. Or temp fix, get a tin of WD 40 with the plastic pipe that can be pushed onto the spray nozzle. Get a chopstick or simillar. Put chopstick down side of gear rubber gater. Do this by pulling blue rubber gater away from gear knob and gently inserting chopstick down into gater. Put the WD 40 plastic pipe down gater alongside the chopstick and spray a good amount. then roll the chopstick around to another possition and spray more WD 40. repeat until you have done it four or five possitions covering all round. Job done.

Both of my front seat belts are locked and can't be used. What can cause this?

If sticky fluid or dirt gets into the latch it will freeze up. I have taken belts out of vehicles and sprayed WD-40 or similar agents into them while hanging downward to rinse any debris out. Seatbelts are usually bolted to the floorboard under the seat.
