It is hard to tell with out more detail as to what makes it squeak. Does it squeak when you hit a bump, or while the vehicle is in motion? To test your struts simply push down on each front corner (above or next to headlight)as to rock the vehicle up and down. Pick a solid part as to not dent it. This is a good way to test your struts. If it goes up in a stiff motion(not rocking) its probably good. If it goes up and down easily and has a lot of play then your struts might need changes. The squeak could also be sway bar bushings as well. If it only squeaks when your in motion it could be your cv axle. If you are still in need please post more detail as to better diagnose the issue.
hi. if the vibration is only occuring when you press the brakes, then you almost certainly have a warped disk (rotor, if in US) on one of the front brakes. as it only occurs at relatively high speeds, it may not even be visible to the eye, but would need to be measures accurately using a dial gauge. warped disks are not usually repaired, just replaced.
the clicking sound is normal. that is your shift interlock switch basically telling the shifter that your foot is on the brake and it clicks to unlock the shifter so that you can shift the car in to reverse, drive etc.... as far as the squeak. its prob in your brake pedal. I have repaired quite a few Ions with the same problem. the squeak can either come from your brake pedal itself or the brake booster. I hope this helps you.
It sounds as though your car has two seperate problems. The first problem with the vibration that goes away when you let off the gas pedal is caused by a bad INNER CV joint. It only vibrates when you are accelerating because that is when the joint is under stress. Your vehicle has two axles, each with an inner and an outer joint. My suggestion is to have a competent shop determine which is the bad side and replace the entire axle. The second vibration which occurs at any speed is most likely cause by either a bad tire, or a bent rim.
