my caliper pin bolt is - 0589132_160_cc_v1_m56577569830639693.jpg I had the same problem and here is what I did: I cut a way the rubber to show more of the pin and then bought a set of extractor bits from Canadian Tire and used the proper size and it came right out . Thease sets are for sure avilable in the USA. It cost $29.99 and then I returned the set so it ended up costind $0.00

If you have access to heat torch or cutting wheel if you cut the head of the bolt off.then take the other bolt off counter clockwise .You should be able to lift caliper on one side.if it clears the pads as you swing it up or down depending what bolt wont come off.then slide it back exposing the remaining bolt.this should make it easier to remove bolt.counter clockwise.

Spray some WD_40 spray and let it be for a while.this will loosen the bolt that is tightened due to rust or something else.after half an hour it will easily get removed.

Your only solution is to drill the bolt out and try to use an easy out bolt extractor, there is no other way.

Can't remove the battery from 2005 honda odyssey

there isn't a "special" tool for this. it is either a 3-8 standard or a 10mm. if it will not grip the bolt then the bolt is "stripped" in which case you need to use a vice grip and taking care not to touch any metal break it loose. then of course replace it with a new one

Go to the auto parts store and pick up a set of allen sockets for your ratchet. They are the common 3/8 ratchet size and will provide the leverage you need. Make sure the hole is clean and the socket fits snugly or you run the risk of rounding the corners. Giving the socket a tap with a hammer will ensure it is fully seated in the bolt.
I have used a small pipe wrench on these bolts and gotten them started with a fair degree of sucess but it takes some fiddling to get it on there. Vice grips won't bite in enough to break it free.
Get a small bottle of Never-Seize while you are at the store and coat the bolt threads before you reinstall them. Also there is a special lubricant for the sliders. Get some to ensure free movement of the pads. Hope this helps.

Brake bleeders frozen and rounded off

Have you tried stripped bolt extractors? Or hammering on a smaller (6 point) socket? Or you can grab it with vice grips and smack the top of the bleeder with a hammer while you try turning it. If you get it out, the parts stores sell replacement bleeders. If you don't, they also sell calipers.

They should have never used a vice grip. You always use a socket on any hard to remove bolts because it provides equal force around the entire bolts. Vice grips only grab two sides.
You can try a bolt extractor, you can purchase them at Lowes and other places.
If it doesn't work, you will need a new oil pan.
Stop going to the place(s) that put it on too tight, and tried to take it off with vice grips.

You don't have to take that off (and you don't want to, as I found out--getting that spring back on is a pain!). I used a vice grips to loosen it, then got if off with a small open-face wrench (12mm).
