You have the plastic gas cap that clicks when it has been tightned enough. The little ratchet mechanisim inside is worn out. Just take a large pair of pliers and pop the top off the cap then you can grab the lower part with the pliers to remove and then throw away. Then just get another fuel cap at your local parts store.

I have a 1994 T-Bird that is pouring gas into the engine. There is nothing wrong with the plugs or wires or fuel injectors or O2 sensor. Two repair places have not been able to figure out why it is doing...

try the fuel regulator, you may be able to un-plug the fuel regulator vaccumn and if gas spurts out the top then its bad(while running or cranking)

Where is the fuel filter in a 1994 t-bird V-6

Under vehicle, passenger side, below seating area, passenger side of transmission, mounted on frame in fuel line.

Be sure to relieve the pressure on the fuel line before separating line. On the fuel rail, in the engine compartment, above the fuel injectors, you will find a schrader valve. It looks like the air valve on your tires, with a plastic cap.

Also, you will need a fuel line disconnect tool to separate the fuel line from the pump. You can get this from any parts store.

1994 ford t-bird starts fine but surges and check engine light on

have you checked the vacum lines under the hood for cracks in the lines or a vacum leak, sounds to me its a vacum leak.

T bird stalls on idol?

Check all vacuum lines and electric connections. It sounds like a Throttle position sensor or an EGR valve problem. If it idles too slow there are a few screws to turn like on the old carburetors. The vacuum routing is on a label and you may have the wrong hose somewhere.
