Vibration from fan

My belt started squeaking, we changed it then the water pump went out, we put a new one on, then the clutch fan was wobbling then we replaced that, but now the fan itself seems to be warped. My car vibrates. What else can we do?

we just put a new clutch fan on. Not the actual fan itself

I guess you can say we just put the clutch on and not a new fan. Could this be my problem. What could have warped the fan?

Make sure that you have everything you installed flush with mounting surfaces. Are all of the fan blades intact? Unless something bent the fan (unusual) it should be good, but if you need to, get another from a junkyard and try it!

Can I replace the fan clutch on a 2005 colorado with reg fan blade

Let the vehicle run at approx 2000 rpm (standing still) and check the heatgauge. When the needle gets near the max mark you sould be able to feel the fan blowing air. Switch off the vehicle and feel if the fan is solid or not. You can use a standard blade, will have very small effect on feul consumption and power.

I have a 1997 dakota 5.2 motor. Had to replace fan blade & clutch. Im putting a new water pump on now. if i still have noise what other things should i check.

Alternator, A/C Compressor, Power-steering pump, smog pump, idler pully(s).

I would pull the belt(s) and check each pulley for wobble or rough spinning.

Hope this helps

Bearing has collapsed, fan is wobbling and unstable

Yes you must remove the timing belt and gear to remove the water pump. I always recommend a new timing belt as part of the repair. Regards, Joe

Take the belt off check the clutch fan and spin all the pullies insure they spin freely and do not wobble if any do replace them if all checks out ok put a new belt on. make sure the belt tension is not to tight should have about 3/4 inch play.

Water Pump Leaking

the hardest part of this job is removing your fan clutch. you removed your top fan shroud, then your fan clutch, its reverse thread. take off your belt, upper radiator hose and 6 10mm bolts hold it in. clean water pump housing and put all back together. aftermarket water pumps do not come with theermostat, dealer pumps do. remove your belt tensioner from old water pump 3- 15mm bolt, two different sizes and install on your new pump. you need, 10mm socket, 15mm socket, flat head screw driver, pliers to removed hose, fan clutch tool(rent at autoparts store)

Squeaking noise front drivers side of engine

Loosen the belts [ you do not need to remove] so they are free of tension to all pulleys.Start engine , if noise goes away either belts were too loose [ common on lx 450] or you have a worn & noisey pulley /bearing.have seen idler pulley below alternator have dry / noisey bearing.Otherwise if idler is ok it has to be another belt driven assessory , ac clutch, water pump & or fan clutch.Good Luck.
