First, didn't the mechanic test his work when he was done? If not, ask him to come back and make it right. If he did, and it started after his repair, do you have an enemy who's mechanically inclined? Ex-wife/girlfriend? It's highly unusual for a starter wire to be "cut". And even more unusual for a wiring failure to re-occur without outside help.
No, no chip in the key. I just went and bought 4 of them from Home Depot to have all over the place due to losing them all the time--like the time my wife lost her keys down the elevator shaft.....whole 'nother story!
well first of all does the button for the heated seats light up? if so then it is not a fuse problem. usually the heater pad itself. disconnect the connector and check with a ohm meter. if the meter reads open the element is shot. as for the 4 wheel drive will have a wheel hop when turning corners this is normal due to front and rear wheel trying to push in different derections. if it happens all the time the gears in the diff might be different from front to back. check to see if a diff overhaul was done if so.
We had the seat pan replaced on the passenger side because the SRS indication came on. My wife put her knee right in the middle of the seat, probably breaking the sensor, while assisting the kids in the back seat.
