STARTING WITH DELAY ANYTIME

Whenever I start the car it takes a few seconds sometimes minutes before starting. Sometimes I have to turn the key 2 to 3 times before the engine starts. once or twice it starts normally . The car works fine after that no power problems no smokes everything else is ok. So what could be the problem?
oxygen sensor ok, injectors ok,inhibitor switch ok
coolant temperature sensor?
coil?
igniter?
ignitor switch?
relay or sensor? which one?

thanks

Mcdevito75 here, It could be slow fuel delivery to the engine, Have your shop change the gas filter and check the fuel pump pressure.

2004 gmc sonoma why does it take 2-3 times cranking before it starts and only does it sometimes?

install pressure gauge and watch when key is turned off to see if pressure drops to zero if so bad drain back valve in fuel pump replace it or deal with it or could be cheap aftermarket pump and has hard time building unnecessary pressure to open poppet valves between before fuel injectors

I have a 2004 Allroad V8 that has a starting problem.

Poor connection somewhere, bad cable, or just lazy starter which eventually go bad.

Sometimes it starts and some time not

It should be under warranty, take it back to the dealer. Sounds like your losing the fuel prim to the engine. Before starting it turn the key's to the accessory for about 5 sec before starting it and see if the helps start's the car.

Car sometimes won't start

this is a pass key problem, try this.

PASS LOCK RESET GM CARS 1999 UP
1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the passlock system to recognize your key

1997 Acura 3.0 keeps shutting off while driving.

Sounds like a bad key switch assembly to me! Has any work been done on the steering column in recent times? It COULD just be a loose connection!

Need to know signs of my starter going bad

I have a 96 Cavalier and lately, sometimes when I go to start my car, I turn the key and the engine won't crank. All of the dash lights turn on, so I don't think it would be the battery. If I wait a few minutes and try again, it fires right up. This is probably the first sign of the starter failing. I've been told to whack the starter with a hammer while someone is turning the key, but have also been told that with Cavaliers build in the 90's and up, this is a no-no. There are magnets inside the starter that can break if hit with enough force. I have yet to have the starter fail to the point of not being able to start it at all, but I'm sure that time is coming. Hopefully, I can trade this POS in for something decent.
