Distributor not turning

Is it locked up or not turning when you try to start the car? Pull the distributor out and make sure the shaft isn't sheered off or the teeth aren't broken. You may have a seized up distributor shaft and it could have broken.

Oil pump shaft broke off. How can a person remove broken tip up inside motor?

The oil pump shaft is driven by the distributor. If a broken piece of the oil pump shaft is still lodged in the distributor drive socket you may have to remove the distributor to remove the broken piece. Normally there is no retainer keeping the shaft inserted into the distributor drive socket. So when the oil pump is removed the shaft will typically slide, or fall out.

What drives the oil pump on a 4.3L V6?

the camshaft drives the distributor gear at the bottom of the distributor and in the bottom of the distributor gear is a slot which fits onto the oil pump drive shaft common problem is the cam gear is made of plastic and the teeth break off and clog the oil pump screen if the gears are replaced and the oil pump is not replaced or cleaned failure will result

I,replace intake gasket and now is out time.

First off, you have to find top dead center number 1 cyl. Take out spark plug for that, rotate engine until compression comes thru hole. Look down at timing marks and see if it's aligned to top dead center. If not, rotate 180 degrees more clockwise. Then, install distributor into oil pump shaft, pointing distributor to number one cyl. Remember, you have to install the distributor one or two gear teeth back as when the dist. is dropped in, rotor will turn two teeth clockwise which will make it go to number one. If you don't, it will be past number one cyl. Retry.

Timing off

1st, Confirm that the distributor rotor is getting spun by removing the distributor cap and watching it while someone cranks the engine a couple of turns.
If it isn't turning, you've got major internal engine problems (timing belt or chain broken, etc.).
If it IS turning, you may still have major problems... distributor jumped a tooth or teeth or the pin that holds the gear to the distributor shaft may have sheared.
If the rotor turns and is in the correct position for Top Dead Center for cylinder one, then you might have something as simple as a severe vacuum leak from a bad hose... something HIGHLY likely in a vehicle this age.
