Question about 2007 Chrysler Sebring Sedan
2007 sebring started to run hot. Checked fluids. Car given antifreeze. two blocks later, car runs hot again. Checked antifreeze, mostly depleted. car run hot if cap is on tight. water is not leaking from car
Sounds like you have a defective water thermostat as long as nothing is seen physically leaking when it is warming up in the first 2-5 minutes.
If you are a do it yourselfer, carefully remove the thermostat without damaging the gasket.
Replace it as preventative maintenance if it has not been replaced from 50-95k miles. It can be lower but that is a good range when you replace one.
