Question about 2005 GMC Safari
Would it be advised to exchange the transmission fluid in my 2005 Safari GMC van? It has 44,000 miles and was in a water flood situation. The fluids were renewed after the flood, but I am still worried about the transmission and want to get it flushed. If I do I was thinking of using Royal Purple Max ATF for the transmission. I know its expensive, but i'm willing to do it.
If it has been in a flood, change it. Water will eat the valve body and pump gaskets. Even if it has been changed once, you won't get it all. Changing it a second time is a good idea. Use Dexron VI
