My interior button displays have worn off for the AC, seat warmers, defrost, ect. on the dash. Where can I find replacements? Or is there any other solution?

There is no solution GM seems to use a rubber compound that rubs off over time. Radio buttons are cheap but you did not mention those besides calling a bone yard its not a real cheap repair.

You should be able to order them through the dealer. if not another route to go would be to visit a wrecking yard.

hope this helps.
please rate good.

Why would 1999 Buick dash lights not work unless interior lights are on using the rotary switch for the headlights?

Hello,

From your description I would have to say it is the switch. The switch you turn to put the interior light gas a variable resistance coil in it and it is probably broken.

I hope this helps,
Vinnie

94 deville concours ac works sometimes then u here duct door close and digital climate temp numbers go to blank dashes and defrost comes on and is stuck wont turn off then digital numbers come back on

My first guess would be a wiring problem or the controller.
If anything goes wrong with the system, it will default to the defrost mode for safety.

The heater / ac control only works with one or two desired settings.defrost will not work at all (2006 chevy trailblazer)

The actuator motor that controls the defrost,to floor,to vent ,has gone out, this will be a job to take to the shop, the dash will have to be pulled out toward the seats to replace the actuator motor.

AC/Heat/Defrost inoperable

Chanses are its either the blend door motor quit working or the controls ( temp., selector, blower) in dash are bad, my 95 did the same thing i chg. the blend door motor thinking it was that, but it turned out to be the controls in the dash, 5 minutes work and 140.00 later it was fixed.

Air vent filter locations

There is no interior filter!
You will need to use Fabree on the head liner and seats and don't be afraid to spray in in the defroster vents as well as the dash vents,But it will take a couple of times to work 100%

Why is the Air conditioning and heater on at the same time? It's a 2001 Ford Escape.

Some cars are programmed to work that way, because when the heater plus the air-conditioner are operating at the same time, the car's interior gets warmer quicker. There's always a separate switch and indicator light for the air-conditioner, and you could turn it off if don't like the two operating at the same time.

I have a 93 caddy deville and cannot find a site to tell me what the codes mean

this site has alot of info:

http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd1.html

Hope this is what you need!!!

ABS (Antilock Brake System)
AMP (Amplifier)
DDM (Door Driver Module)
DIM (Dash Integration Module)
IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster)
IPM (Instrument Panel Module)
IRC (Integrated Radio Module)
PCM (Powertrain Control Module)
RFA (Remote Function Actuation)
RIM (Rear Integration Module)
SDM (Sensing and Diagnostic Module) Includes airbag crash data. Under RF seat
VTD (Vehicle Theft Deterrent)
MSM (Memory Seat Module)
TTM (Tilt/Telescoping Module)
RSS (Road Sensing Suspension)
____________________________________________________________

How To Pull Codes To check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in the computer, turn the ignition on, then hold down the OFF and WARMER (for digital dash) or OFF and passenger-WARMER buttons (for analog dash) or OFF and "Info ^" buttons (if you have temperature dials) until all of the dash lights come on. The digital display will then show any codes stored. Be prepared to write them down. When it's done, you will probably see "PCM?" At that point, press the OFF button 3 or 4 times until the dash goes back to normal, or just turn off the ignition.
